Simpson Duo, Hesston’s Garrison Named CAC Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week

Simpson University (California) juniors Mariah Napoleon and Brooklyn Jimenez have joined Hesston College (Kansas) sophomore Audrey Garrison in receiving the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Players of the Week awards.

Napoleon, the Attacker of the Week honoree, posted 37 kills and a .325 hitting percentage in two matches. The outside hitter had 19 kills in a 3-0 sweep against Life Pacific University (California) last Friday. The Eureka, California, native followed with 18 kills in a 3-1 win against California Institute of Technology later in the day.

Jimenez, the Defender of the Week, averaged 6.14 digs per set with 43 digs across two victories for the week. She had 26 digs against Cal Tech. Earlier in the day, the Menifee, California, native tallied 17 digs in the sweep against Life Pacific.

Garrison, the Setter of the Week, recorded 49 assists and averaged 12.25 assists per set for the Lark. The Wiesbaden, Germany, native helped her team win their first match of the season with a 3-1 win against Calvary University (Missouri). Garrison also posted five kills and 12 digs to go along with assisting on three blocks in that match.
