Florida College’s Noskey, Fisher’s Velazquez & Crowley’s Ridge’s Matlock Garner CAC Volleyball Player of the Week Awards

A senior, sophomore and freshman have been recognized as the Continental Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week as the month of September prepares to close.

Florida College senior Emma Noskey, the Attacker of the Week, recorded 40 kills and hit an impressive .322 in leading the Falcons to a perfect four-victory week. The outside hitter had 17 kills in a 3-0 win against Pensacola Christian College (Florida) last Saturday.

One day earlier, the Seffner, Florida, native had 10 kills in a sweep against Trinity Baptist College (Florida).

Fisher College (Massachusetts) sophomore Paola Velazquez, the Setter of the Week, was outstanding in leading Falcons to an undefeated week. The Caguas, Puerto Rico, native dished out 88 assists and averaged 9.78 assists per set across three matches.

The team's primary setter recorded 32 assists and averaged 10.67 assists in a sweep against Rhode Island College last Friday.

Crowley's Ridge College (Arkansas) freshman Kinley Matlock, the Defender of the Week, led the Pioneers in digs during three of their four matches for the week. The Paragould, Arkansas, native averaged 5.25 digs per set, tallying 63 digs across 12 sets.

Matlock reached double figures in every match, highlighted by 19 digs and a 6.33 digs average against Harris-Stowe State University (Missouri) last Saturday. She had 17 digs against University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy (Missouri) last Friday.
