Five Teams Selected to Play for 2026 CAC Softball Championship
Five teams have been selected to compete in the upcoming 2026 Continental Athletic Conference Softball Championship, being hosted by Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Georgia, beginning on Wednesday, April 29.
Joining the host Grizzlies will be Alice Lloyd College (Kentucky), Carolina University (North Carolina), Florida National University, and Westcliff University (California).
The CAC Softball Championship is a double-elimination tournament with play scheduled to continue through Saturday, May 2.
Opening-day action on April 29 will feature the No. 4 seed playing the No. 5 seed at noon before the No. 2 seed faces the No. 3 seed at 2:30 p.m. The final game of the day, at 5 p.m., has the No. 1 seed matched against the winner of the earlier contest between the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds.
The tournament schedule, with seeds and opening-day matchups, will be determined later by CAC officials.
The league champion receives the conference's automatic bid to the Opening Round of the NAIA national tournament.
GGC, Florida National and Westcliff are repeat postseason participants while Alice Lloyd and Carolina will be making their CAC tournament debuts.
