Bellevue Sweeps CAC Men’s Soccer Weekly Honors

Goal-scoring efforts by Bellevue University (Nebraska) underclassmen Jeremiah Hteh and Buster Honeywood have garnered the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards.

Hteh, the offensive recipient, scored twice in a pair of victories by the Bruins. The Omaha, Nebraska, native had the opening goal in the team's 3-2 victory against No. 16-ranked Columbia College (Missouri) last Wednesday. The freshman then scored the eventual match-winning goal in a 3-0 triumph against Dordt University (Iowa) last Saturday.

Honeywood, the defensive honoree, found the back of the net in the team's Dordt victory. The sophomore from Kessingland, England, also helped anchor a defensive unit that allowed just one shot on goal in the shutout victory. The Bruins played short-handed in the Columbia match – the signature victory of the fall season – after a player was assessed a red card penalty in the 62nd minute.
