Georgia Gwinnett College’s Hermenegildo, Bellevue’s Cisneros Named CAC Men’s Soccer Players of the Week

Helping their respective teams to a pair of victories has earned Georgia Gwinnett College freshman Juan Hermenegildo and Bellevue University (Nebraska) junior Edwin Cisneros honors as the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Players of the Week.

Hermenegildo, the offensive honoree, had a hat trick against Wiley University (Texas) last Thursday as the Grizzlies won two matches at the CAC Classic. The Brookhaven, Georgia, native became the 11th player in program history to achieve a hat trick. He scored the team's first three goals of the match – coming in the 18th, 21st and 31st minutes of the match – as GGC scored a season-high 10 goals in the victory.

Cisneros, the defensive award recipient, scored three goals, including a game-winner, in as the Bruins won two matches. He found the back of the net twice in the team's 2-1 win at Midland University (Nebraska) last Wednesday. The Omaha, Nebraska, native later added a goal in a 2-0 triumph against fellow CAC opponent University of Jamestown (North Dakota) last Saturday. Cisneros also helped the defensive unit post its fourth shutout of the season.
