Talladega’s Lawrence, Carolina’s Wilson Named CAC Men’s Soccer Players of the Week

Strong performances on the pitch have earned Talladega College (Alabama) senior Tavar Lawrence and Carolina University (North Carolina) junior Joshua Wilson recognition as the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Players of the Week.

Lawrence, the offensive honoree, tallied 11 points by scoring five goals and assisting in another goal in the Tornadoes' 9-0 victory against United States Sports Academy (Alabama) last Saturday. He helped the team to a 1-0-1 record for the week after posting a scoreless draw against Pensacola Christian College (Florida) last Thursday.

The forward attempted 12 shots, including seven shots on goal, during last week's two matches.

Wilson, the defensive award recipient, made two saves in 76 minutes of scoreless action in the Bruins' 6-0 triumph against Greensboro College (North Carolina) last Friday.
