Productive Outings Earn CAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week Honors

Productive performances on the pitch have been recognized with Bellevue University (Nebraska) sophomore Katrina Avila and Georgia Gwinnett College freshman Barbora Kadlecova being selected as the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week.

Avila, the offensive honoree, scored three goals in a pair of victories last week for the Bruins. The Lincoln, Nebraska, native scored in each contest. She found the back of the net twice, including the match-winner, against Dakota State University (South Dakota).

Kadlecova, the defensive recipient, led the Grizzlies to an unbeaten week (2-0-1) by scoring a match-tying goal against Bethel University (Tennessee) last Saturday. The defender headed in a corner kick in the 77th minute. Kadlecova also helped the team post two shutouts while having four of her five shots being on goal during the week.
