Bellevue Sweeps CAC Women’s Soccer Weekly Honors

Bellevue University (Nebraska) sophomore Adi Kasel and junior teammate Maju Serrano have been named the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week.

Kasel, the offensive honoree, totaled five goals in a pair of road wins for the Bruins. The Omaha, Nebraska, native netted multiple goals in matches against Warner University (Florida) and Florida National University. The forward scored twice in the 6-2 triumph against Warner. She followed that with her first collegiate hat trick in a 7-1 win over FNU. Her seven goals lead the team's offensive attack this season.

Serrano, the defensive award winner, delivered five assists across both victories from her defensive position. The Quito, Ecuador, native had three assists against Warner and two more assists against Florida National. Serrano assisted on one eventual match-winning goal. She also anchored a defensive unit that allowed just six shots on goal for the week.
