Georgia Gwinnett’s Davis, Spartanburg Methodist’s Wilson Garner CAC Women’s Soccer Weekly Honors

Georgia Gwinnett College junior Kendra Davis and Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina) freshman Ava Wilson have received the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards.

Davis, the offensive honoree, recorded her third career hat trick and second of the 2024 season in last Saturday's victory against the University of Rio Grande (Ohio). The forward scored the match-winning goal in the shutout victory. The Snellville, Georgia, native added two goals during the second half to complete the hat trick.

For the week, Davis attempted seven shots, with her only three shots on goal finding the back of the net. She helped the No. 18-ranked Grizzlies outscore the two opponents for the week by an 11-0 margin.

Wilson, the defensive recipient, recorded a pair of shutouts to lead the Pioneers' defensive unit. The goalkeeper had three saves in performances against fellow CAC opponents Washington Adventist University (Maryland) last Saturday and Fisher College (Massachusetts) on Sunday. The Greenville, South Carolina, native made eight saves across three matches.
