Fisher’s Vivas, USC Beaufort’s Worrell Earn CAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week Honors

Scoring goals and posting shutouts have been rewarded with Fisher College (Massachusetts) senior Naomi Vivas and USC Beaufort sophomore Emily Worrell being named the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week.

Vivas, the Offensive Player of the Week, scored two goals and added an assist in the Falcons' 3-0 victory at Bryant & Stratton College-Albany (New York). The senior had five points across two matches last week, with six of her 10 shots being on goal.

The forward from Mexico City, Mexico, scored the game-winning goal for Fisher, which had a 4-4-1 record this fall.

Worrell, the Defensive Player of the Week, posted a pair of shutouts after making five saves in matches at Brewton-Parker College (Georgia) and Albany State University (Georgia) last week.

The goalkeeper from Keedysville, Maryland, now has six shutouts on the season and a dazzling 0.26 goals against average in more than 700 minutes played in front of the Sand Sharks' goal. The team has a 8-1-1 record this season, outscoring the past three opponents by a 15-0 margin.
