Our Lady of the Lake Wins 2025 CAC Women’s Golf Championship
Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) pulled away for an impressive 27-stroke winning margin in the 2025 Continental Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship, completed Tuesday at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex. The tournament was hosted by Haskell Indian Nations University (Kansas).
Entering the final round with a 14-stroke advantage, the Saints closed out the 36-hole tournament with a 306 team score in the final 18 holes to capture the title with a 633 total score.
University of Victoria (British Columbia) placed second with a 660-stroke score. The Vikes improved their score by 22 strokes from Monday's first round. They carded a 319 team score in the final round.
University of Houston-Victoria (Texas) finished in third place with a 681 score, followed by University of the Southwest (New Mexico), with a 727 score, and Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina), at 814 strokes.
Individually, Victoria's Cindy Koira won low medalist and CAC Player of the Year honors with a one-stroke victory over OLLU's Ceci Lattuada. Koira posted an even-par 72-stroke score during Tuesday's final round to overcome a three-stroke deficit from Monday's first round. She finished the 36-hole event with a 152 composite score.
Lattuada led three consecutive Saints' finishers with a 153-stroke score, with consecutive 77 and 76 scores. Grayson Weiler placed third with a 155 score and Kendall Ward was at 156 for fourth place.
Houston-Victoria's Emmily Bickelmann improved to fifth place – and rounding out the all-conference honorees – after shooting a 74-stroke score in the final round.
Our Lady of the Lake earned the CAC's automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship planned May 13-16 at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Koira will advance to the NAIA national tournament as an individual qualifier.
