CAC Cross Country Championships Set for Friday

The first Continental Athletic Conference championships of the 2025-26 athletic season will be crowned on Friday, November 7, when four teams compete in each of the men's and women's championship races, hosted by Florida College at Halloway Park in Lakeland, Florida.

Haskell Indian Nations University (Kansas) is the defending champion in both races. Joining in the events will be runners from Florida National University, Hesston College (Kansas) and Florida College.

Haskell Indian Nations' Jaiven Hale has posted this season's top time over 8-kilomoter races among men's runners by posting a 25:45.5 in early October. Florida College's Sam Johnson has a top time of 25:58.9, while Haskell Indian Nations' Dyami Berridge, Jonathan Fragua and Ben Miera round out the top five times among CAC runners during the 2025 season.

On the women's side, Hesston's Arissa Cathey has posted the top time in 5-kilometer races with time of 21:50.5. Haskell Indian Nations' Nina Bitsilly has had a time of 22:50 while the Fighting Indians' Yanibah Begay and Florida National's Mia Betancourt have also recorded top-five times during the fall campaign.
