Haskell Indian Nations Wins 2026 CAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship

Haskell Indian Nations University (Kansas) won eight events to claim the 2026 Continental Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship, held Friday at the Ansin Sports Complex and hosted by Florida National University.

The Fightin' Indians took top honors in four running and four field events to register 228 points and win their second straight league title. Carolina University (North Carolina) placed second with 117 points and Florida National was third with 100 points.

Arkansas Baptist College tallied 91 points to finish fourth, while Hesston College (Kansas) had 70 points and Florida College rounded out the meet's field with 44 points.

RESULTS

Besides taking home top team honors, Haskell Indian Nations also swept the two major individual awards: Lovie Pulliam as Track Athlete of the Year and Eli Adams as Field Athlete of the Year.

Adams won three of the four throwing events, establishing a championship meet records in the hammer throw (43.12 meters) and discus throw (43.44 meters). He also placed first in the shot put (13 meters).

Pulliam won the 400-meter dash in a championship meet record time of 49.19 seconds. He added a runner-up finish in the 200-meter dash (22.32 seconds) and added six points for the team by finishing third in the 100-meter dash (11.18 second).
