Victoria Captures 2025 CAC Men’s Golf Championship
University of Victoria (British Columbia) captured the 2025 Continental Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship after posting three consistent scoring rounds at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex. The tournament was hosted by Haskell Indian Nations University (Kansas).
The Vikes improved their score with each round in the 54-hole tournament, finishing with a 304 team score during Tuesday's 18-hole final round. Their 926 total score was 24 strokes better than second-place Talladega College (Alabama), which had a 950 team score. Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina) was third with a 961 two-day total.
Florida College (981 strokes) and Haskell Indian Nations (1,001) rounded out the team standings in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Individually, Victoria's Daniel Kirby edged teammate Maguire Lines by three strokes for low medalist and CAC Player of the Year honors with a 227-stroke composite score. He posted a two-over-par 74-stroke score to maintain the three-stroke advantage he had entering Tuesday's final 18 holes.
Spartanburg Methodist's AJ Bolin also had a two-over-par 74 on Tuesday to place third with a 231 score. Fourth-place honors went to Florida College's Lucas Walhstrom with a 232 score after two rounds in the 70s. Talladega's Izaiah Stewart had a 233-stroke score to round out the all-conference performers.
Victoria earned the CAC's automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship, taking place May 20-23 at TPC Deere Run course in Silvis, Illinois.
