Spartanburg Methodist’s Bayonee, Florida National’s Adams Named Season’s Final CAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week

Strong performances in the final week of the 2024-25 season have earned Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina) senior Bryan Bayonne and Florida National University junior Gary Adams honors Continental Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Players of the Week.

Bayonee, the Offensive Player of the Week, scored 26 points and grabbed three rebounds in the Pioneers' 86-82 loss to Morris College (South Carolina) last Tuesday. He connected on nine of his 15 field goals, including making 5-of-10 on 3-point field goal attempts across 37 minutes of action.

Adams, the Defensive Player of the Week, totaled eight rebounds and two steals in the Conquistadors' contest against the University of Fort Lauderdale (Florida) last Wednesday. The Miami native recorded four steals and three assists against fellow CAC opponent Florida College last Monday.

Eight teams have qualified for the 2025 CAC Women's Basketball Championship Tournament, which begins Thursday, February 27, at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas.
