Carolina’s Polk, Spartanburg Methodist’s Rojas Named CAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week

Carolina University (North Carolina) senior Aundree Polk and Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina) freshman Richard Rojas have garnered the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week awards as the 2024-25 season nears postseason play.

Polk, the offensive recipient, scored 37 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 90-86 victory against Spartanburg Methodist last Wednesday. He made 11 of 14 free throw attempts and was successful in making 11 of 20 field goals.

Rojas, the defensive honoree, averaged 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots across two games for the Pioneers. He had three blocks and grabbed three rebounds in the narrow setback to Carolina. Rojas followed with 10 rebounds and two more blocked shots in a 85-84 win over Mid-Atlantic Christian University (North Carolina) last Saturday.
