Spartanburg Methodist’s Bayonne, Florida College’s Duda Named CAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week

Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina) senior Bryan Bayonne and Florida College senior Nate Duda earned Continental Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Players of the Week honors after posting a pair of strong all-around performances as the season calendar prepares to flip past January.

Bayonne, the offensive honoree, averaged nearly 30 points and eight rebounds last week for the Pioneers. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native had 29 points and 12 rebounds in a 104-94 victory against Fisher College (Massachusetts) last Friday – his fourth double-double performance of the season.

The guard followed up that performance the next day by scoring 31 points, including 29 in the second half, in a 90-81 setback to Washington Adventist University (Maryland).

Duda, the defensive award recipient, had four steals to go along with 35 points and seven rebounds in Florida College's 98-96 victory against New College of Florida last Saturday.

The forward from Framington, Massachusetts, began the week by grabbing five rebounds, recording four steals and having one blocked shot in the Falcons' 86-74 setback to Florida Memorial University last Tuesday.
