Seniors Claim CAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards

A pair of seniors who guided their teams to victories have been named the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Players of the Week.

Florida College forward Nate Duda earned the Offensive Player of the Week honor after scoring 24 points and grabbed five rebounds in leading the Falcons to a 88-84 win against Southeastern University (Florida) last Saturday.

The Framingham, Massachusetts, native went 6-for-10 from behind the 3-point line while shooting 8-of-15 in all field goal attempts.

Meanwhile, Jalen Anderson of Washington Adventist University (Maryland) received Defensive Player of the Week honors for averaging 3.8 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks across four games. The Shock won three of those games. He had three steals and two blocked shots in an 85-70 win against Fisher College (Massachusetts) last Saturday.

The Charlottsville, Virginia, native also grabbed five rebounds in a 73-71 overtime win against Florida National University on Sunday. He began the week by recording five rebounds in a 68-66 win against Cheyney University (Pennsylvania) last Monday.
