Florida National’s Ethridge, Spartanburg Methodist’s Bayonne Named CAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week

Florida National University sophomore Caelum Ethridge and Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina) senior Bryan Bayonne have collected Continental Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week awards for their play in last week's games.

Ethridge, the offensive recipient, averaged 26.5 points across two games for the Conquistadors. The guard had a near double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds in a 93-83 loss against Warner University (Florida) last Friday.

One day earlier, the Lompoc City, California, native scored 28 points in a five-point loss to Webber International University (Florida). He made nine of 10 free throw attempts in the game.

Bayonne, the Defensive Player of the Week, posted 22 points, nine rebounds and 2.5 steals across two outings last week for the Pioneers. The guard had a double-double performance with 29 points and 10 rebounds in a 74-72 loss to Voorhees University (South Carolina) last Tuesday.

The Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native then added 15 points and eight rebounds in an 83-79 loss to Columbia College (South Carolina) last Saturday.
