Opening Day Schedule Set for 2026 CAC Baseball Championship

The seeds and opening-day matchups have been announced for the 2026 Continental Athletic Conference Baseball Championship, beginning Wednesday, April 29, at Georgia Gwinnett College's Grizzly Baseball Complex in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

GGC is the tournament's top seed and will be seeking its seventh straight league title. Westcliff University (California) is the No. 2 seed and Florida National University stands as the No. 3 seed. Simpson University (California) received the No. 4 seed and Carolina University (North Carolina) rounds out the postseason field as the No. 5 seed.

The double-elimination tournament begins on Wednesday with Simpson (24-24) facing Carolina (21-23) in a game scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Then, Westcliff (25-20) will play Florida National (22-19) at 3 p.m. Georgia Gwinnett (40-6) will meet the winner of the earlier Simpson-Carolina game in a contest starting at 7 p.m.

Play is scheduled to continue through Saturday, May 1. The CAC champion will represent the conference in the Opening Round of the 2026 NAIA national tournament.

Westcliff, Simpson and Carolina are each making their CAC postseason debuts this spring. Florida National has advanced to the postseason for the fourth straight season.
