Spartanburg Methodist’s Greene, Fisher’s Serrano Named CAC Baseball Players of the Week

A strong week on the diamond have had Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina) freshman Chance Greene and Fisher College (Massachusetts) senior Vance Serrano earning honors as the Continental Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week.

Greene, the Hitter of the Week, hit .421 (8-for-19) to lead the Pioneers to a 5-1 record last week by connecting on four home runs and having two doubles to post a 1.158 slugging percentage. He also drove in runs and scored five additional runs while collecting a hit in five of the six games.

Serrano, the Pitcher of the Week, struck out 13 batters across six innings to lead the Falcons to an 11-1 victory against Vermont State University-Lyndon last Saturday.

The right hander scattered four hits and allowed just one run in the strong outing.
