CSUSM's Coleman named A.I.I. Player of the Year
California State University-San Marcos third baseman Austin Coleman has been named the Association of Independent Institution's Conference Baseball Player of the Year, his teammate, James Dykstra has been selected the Conference Pitcher of the Year by the league coaches.
Receiving A.I.I. Coach of the Year honors is Arizona Christian head coach Doyle Wilson.
Coleman, a senior from El Cajon, CA, compiled a .351 batting average this season in 49 games with a .697 slugging percentage and a .410 on-base percentage. He scored 41 runs, belted 21 doubles, two triples and 13 home runs, while driving in 53 runs.
Dykstra, a junior from San Diego, CA, compiled a 7-2 record with a 2.89 ERA. In 90.1 innings he allowed 34 runs on 69 hits and 31 walks, while striking out 79.
