Florida National University’s Ryan Raposo Named 2023-24 CAC Athletics Director of the Year
For the first time, Florida National University's Ryan Raposo has been recognized as the Continental Athletic Conference Athletics Director of the Year for the 2023-24 athletic year. He is now eligible for national NAIA honors.
Raposo has led the FNU athletics programs since March 2020. This past year, the Conquistadors had student-athletes and teams from six sport programs advance to NAIA national championships. Meanwhile, three teams had runner-up team performances in CAC championships.
Raposo also served as the interim head men's and women's cross country coach in 2023, helping individuals qualify for the NAIA national championship meet.
CAC Commissioner Meg Schebler stated, "This is a well-deserved honor for Ryan as he has done an outstanding job at Florida National University. He has positioned their athletics programs well and has them on the cusp of championship status in our conference. He is very intentional in his efforts to lead the Conquistadors, with the Champions of Character values at the forefront. Ryan has been a positive presence while serving on the CAC Executive Committee as well, providing support and feedback in our league's operations."
With 12-member institutions from across the country, the CAC promotes the education, development and welfare of student-athletes through their various experiences and participation in NAIA intercollegiate athletics.
