JJ Torrente, Baseball Hitter

Simpson University (California) junior JJ Torrente was named the Continental Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week on April 20, 2026.

Torrente batted .500 (7-for-14) and scoring six runs to help the Red Hawks win three of four games in a series against Nelson University (Arizona) last weekend. The outfielder hit a pair of home runs and drove in nine runs during the series. Torrente went 4-for-4 and drove in six runs in a 10-5 series-opening victory last Friday. He added a home run and scored twice as part of a 2-for-4 performance in a 15-5 triumph to begin Saturday’s doubleheader.
